Post Exercise Recovery

What is this?

During exercise muscles contract and may not return to their original length resulting in a loss of flexibility. Stretching may return resting length. Micro trauma however can cause inflammation which slows healing and can adhere the fibres of the muscle. In this case it is unlikely that this will release with stretching alone. Without treatment muscles can become stiff, inflexible, inefficient and more likely to injure.

How we help

Massage will increase remove adhesions. it will allow the muscles to be stretched back to their usual functional length. Massage has also shown to increase cell permeability and so increase the uptake of nutrients and removal of waste and so speed recovery.

For proven effective treatment of muscular aches, pains and soft tissue injuries.
